Wine Cellar at the Castle

Our wine cellar continues to be a popular draw. Equus was recently awarded the "Award of Unique Distinction" for 2006 and 2004 by The Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

This places Equus Restaurant among the most select group of restaurants in North America to receive this prestigious recognition. In 2001, we also received the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for having one of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world.

Today, our Wine Menu features over 550 labels and a portfolio that can please every discerning palate.

On select evenings throughout the year, our Equus Restaurant holds wine dinner hosted by representatives of distinguished wineries. These connoisseurs share their knowledge with attendees as they explore the aromas, flavors and textures of a wide variety of fine vintage wines.

Wines are paired with a magnificent five-course tasting menu, which includes specially selected items from the Equus menu or new chef creations. During the event, our staff will gladly give you a tour of our state of the art wine cellar. Great wineries featured at our past wine dinners are: The Chalone Group, Laurent Perrier Champagne, Stag's Leap Winery and most recently Cakebread Vineyards, Chimney Rock Winery, Louis Jadot from the Burgundy Region and Sassicaia.
